Commercial concrete

Lubbock Commercial Concrete

From the Texas Tech and medical-district corridors to the retail strips downtown near the Depot District and the ag and warehouse yards on the edge of town, most of Lubbock's commercial concrete is repair and replacement: faulted parking panels, out-of-date ramps, worn dock aprons. Our managed crews do that work in phases, around your hours, on a caliche base and an air-entrained mix built for the South Plains.

How we build it right

The process behind commercial concrete built to last

Credibility comes from how it's built, not from promises. Here's the order of operations on every commercial concrete job.

01

Site assessment and phasing

We map the failed panels, the drainage across flat ground, and the traffic flow, then build a phase plan that keeps entrances, fire lanes, and the bulk of your parking usable the whole way through. Nobody has to lose the lot to get it fixed.

02

Scheduling around your hours

Office, clinic, retail strip, or warehouse yard, the pour schedule bends to the business: nights, weekends, and section-by-section work are ordinary for us, not a surcharge conversation, and we plan the pours around the weather window so a hard freeze does not catch green concrete.

03

Demo and subgrade correction

Panels come out clean at the joints, and the subgrade gets corrected over the caliche and clay before anything goes back, because commercial panels on this ground fault the same way residential ones do when the base is thin.

04

Pour to commercial spec

Mix designs, thickness, and reinforcement matched to truck and dumpster traffic where it actually happens, air-entrained for the freeze-thaw, with dowels tying the new panels to the old so the edges do not fault apart.

05

Stripe, cure, and hand back

Each phase cures behind barricades, gets restriped, and reopens before the next section comes out of service. You are never down more area than the plan showed you, and the paperwork is on file before we ever mobilize.

Why Lucky's

The one you don't have to worry about

01

We answer, and we come back

Most contractors vanish after the deposit. We pick up the phone, show up when we say, and stand behind the work after the truck leaves. The follow-through is the difference.

02

Managed crews, our name on it

A foreman we know runs your job and a vetted crew does the work, managed by Lucky's, one company accountable from the first call to the final walkthrough.

03

Fully insured, paperwork-ready

COI and lien waivers on file before we break ground. The documentation that lets commercial clients pay and gives homeowners peace of mind.

04

Built right, not cheap

Prepped subgrade, reinforced and mixed to spec for the job, and proper curing. We build credibility through the process, not promises. On commercial concrete, that starts with site assessment and phasing.

Proof

A job we'd put our name on

The lot stays usable while we work by Lucky’s Concrete in Lubbock
How we operate

The lot stays usable while we work

The measure of a commercial job is what the property looked like while it was underway. Our standing practice: sections agreed up front, fire lanes and accessible routes kept open at every stage, work zones barricaded and lit, and the documentation, insurance certificates included, delivered before we mobilize rather than chased down afterward.

FAQ

Lubbock commercial concrete, answered

How do you price commercial work?

By scope, after a site walk: square footage, panel count, subgrade and caliche condition, phasing, and traffic all move the number. We put it in a written proposal with the phase plan attached rather than quoting a per-foot figure over the phone that falls apart the moment we are standing on the property.

Can you replace parking panels without taking the lot out of service?

That is how we run these. We section the work so only a fraction of the stalls is down at a time, keep the drive aisles open, and sequence around your peak hours. A full-lot shutdown is the exception and only ever by agreement.

Our ramps predate current ADA standards. Can you bring them up to code?

Yes, and it is a steady part of our Lubbock work, especially on the older retail strips. We rebuild ramps to current slope, landing, and detectable-warning requirements and tie them cleanly into the existing walks and parking.

Do you pour dock and dumpster pads?

Yes, and to a heavier spec than the surrounding lot: thicker sections, heavier steel, and joints placed for where trucks actually stop and turn. A dumpster pad poured to parking-stall thickness just becomes a repair you pay for again and again.

Can you work nights or weekends?

Routinely. Much of our commercial pouring happens after hours or over a weekend so the concrete gains strength while the property is quiet. In winter we watch the overnight lows and protect a fresh pour, since the South Plains freezes hard enough to hurt green concrete.

What documentation do you provide?

Certificates of insurance before we mobilize, a written phase plan, mix documentation on request, and photos at hand-off. Property managers running several locations get the identical packet each time, which keeps their approvals moving.

What size commercial jobs do you take on?

From single equipment pads and ADA upgrades to full parking-lot tear-out and replacement, we scope commercial work to your site and your hours, phasing pours and keeping access open so tenants and customers aren't shut out. We carry the COI, workers' comp, and lien waivers commercial clients and property managers need on file before we start.
